ROEST ADVANCED CONVECTION HEATING
Even development, clean flavors, zero scorching.
Technology is designed to ensure consistency and precision. The result is exceptional coffee in every batch.
Independent Variables
Airflow, agitation, and temperature can be controlled separately. Adjust each without affecting the others — no linked variables, no forced trade-offs. More freedom to build profiles your way.
True Airflow Measurement
Airflow measured by volume, not just fan speed. Ensures the same settings deliver the same heat transfer every time — regardless of installation differences, environmental changes, or system build-up.
Efficient Heat Transfer
Forced airflow through a compact bean pile means faster roasts, lower temperatures, and clean development without scorching. Energy-efficient and gentle on the beans.

Features and specifications
-
The drum itself is fixed, and beans are agitated with moving paddles. This tangential roaster features highly efficient convective heat transfer, evenly roasting coffee quickly with no risk of scorching.
-
Just plug in to a regular 16A three-phase connection (380–400V, 50–60 Hz, 10.24 kW max). Single-phase configuration will also be available in the future with reduced power requirements.
-
With P3000, you can roast as little as 1kg and as much as 3kg per batch at high quality. Fast roast time and rapid recovery between batches make P3000 comparable to 6-8kg (gas or electric) roasting machines on the market.
-
Less than half the weight of roasters with a similar output capacity.
-
Efficient production in a small footprint — about the size of a 2-group espresso machine.
Technical specs
-
Hands-free roasting with smart profiles that adapt to your beans. Roast 100 kg in a single operation with our automatic feeder (coming soon).
-
Take over at any time, with precise control over power, airflow and RPM.
-
Generous 13” touch display shows live view from the bean camera, roast curves, and sensor data in real time.

-
Automatic or manual control of drum RPM allows independent control over bean motion in the drum.
-
Drum and cooling tray exhaust for independent control and drum pressure.
Features
Sensors
-
Four bean temperature sensors combine for stable but highly responsive BT curves. Two RTDs and two t-type thermocouples.
-
Six sensors monitor inlet air temperatures for precise, stable readings and consistent roasts under changing conditions.
-
Achieve perfect consistency and optimize your between-batch protocols by monitoring the heat in the roaster directly.
-
Monitor outgoing air to track heat absorption by the beans.
-
Monitor the green bean temperature and adjust your roast profile for seasonal changes.

FAQs
-
Traditional roasting focuses on batch size, but we focus on throughput. While many roasters have a "nominal" capacity that is higher than what they can actually roast with quality, the P3000 is engineered for a true 3 kg capacity per batch. Combined with a roast and reset cycle of under 8 minutes, it delivers 25+ kg/hr. That is over 500 kg per week—comparable to a much larger 6–8 kg gas- or electric-roaster that requires significantly longer cooling and between-batch protocols.
-
Yes, and with more clarity. Our advanced convection system ensures even development without the scorching risks of high-temperature drum surfaces. You get the clean flavor profiles and precision only high-velocity electric convection can provide, with the body and development specialty coffee demands.
-
Not at all. Automation is your assistant, not your replacement. You have full manual control over power, airflow, and drum speed to develop your profiles. Once you’ve perfected your Profile, our 18+ sensors ensure that your profile is repeated exactly, batch after batch.
-
There is no simple way to take a profile from any roaster and replicate it on a different one. With the data available, you will be able to make an informed decision when creating a roast profile for your production roast from the roast profile on the sample roaster.
-
Yes. The P3000 comes with pre-installed sample profiles to get you started immediately. Through ROEST Connect, you can access a global library of public roasting profiles or share your own directly with partners and other users—making it easy to collaborate or scale across multiple locations.
-
Unlike traditional roasters where a rotating drum provides the movement, our drum remains stationary while internal paddles agitate the beans. Almost all the heat transfer happens via convection, which can heat beans evenly and quickly without burning the surface. The roasting environment is tightly controlled with multiple sensors to maximize consistency and control.
-
The machine is designed to be easy to clean and maintain. The main areas to clean are the bean cooler and filters, the ventilation system, the cyclone, and the chaff collection system.
Chaff is separated via an internal cyclone connected to a compression screw and extruded out of the back of the machine into a container. The chaff container can be switched out as needed between batches without having to turn the machine off.
-
The P3000 is fully electric and requires a standard 380–400 V three-phase connection (single-phase available in 2026). No gas line required. Its 410 mm footprint and quiet operation (69 dB) make it suitable for installation in small spaces or customer areas, cafés. Read more about installation requirements.
-
The P3000 requires external ventilation through two 100 mm exhaust outlets — one for the drum and one for the cooling tray. These can be run separately for optimal performance or merged into a single 150 mm line. A built-in cyclone and dual mesh filters handle chaff separation internally. There are no combustion byproducts since the P3000 is fully electric, so ventilation requirements are simpler than gas-powered roasters. The machine also needs a supply of clean ambient air through an intake on the side panel. Detailed ventilation specifications and ducting guidance are available on the ROEST support site.
-
Yes! You can roast fully offline with the P3000. While roasting data isn’t stored when offline, you’ll always have full roasting functionality. For the best experience and to ensure your roasting logs are saved, we recommend staying connected to Wi-Fi.
-
The P3000 delivers 25+ kg per hour from 3 kg batches thanks to its fast cycle time — under 7 minutes per roast and reset. This throughput is comparable to 6–8 kg roasters — gas or electric — which typically require longer cooling and reset times, and where nominal batch capacity rarely reflects what you can actually roast at quality. The difference is that the P3000 achieves this in a tabletop footprint, with significantly lower labor and space requirements, and no gas infrastructure needed.
