About Sloan Coffee

Sloane Coffee is a specialty coffee roastery founded in Bucharest, Romania, over eight years ago. At the end of 2016, not long after Teodora began her journey in the specialty coffee field, Sloane came to life - a project that, from the beginning, aimed to establish a presence in the European and global markets and to promote the local specialty coffee scene abroad.

“Sloane is defined by excellence, knowledge, and passion. The lots we choose to offer must meet high standards of green bean quality, clean and correct processing, cup complexity, and a positive impact on the local communities of the farmers. To that end, we strongly rely on our network of green traders and farmers, with whom we have developed strong partnerships based on time, trust, and mutual respect. That is how we stay connected to the forefront of coffee experimentation and development."

Over the years, a passionate and dedicated team of up to 20 people has formed around Sloane. They are spread across the roastery, two cafés located in key areas of Romania’s capital, the kitchen, and events both locally and internationally. Additionally, an extended team has developed, including all existing partner locations - some of which are based on other continents, such as in Asia.
