Software engineer by day, roaster at night, Dongze/Steven is a passionate coffee roaster based in San Francisco, California, primarily roasting on his ROEST L200 Ultra. His roast style ranges from light to ultralight, transparently highlighting the terroir and processing behind each coffee. Dongze approaches roasting as an empirical science and bases his approaches on the physical parameters of the coffee greens and the understanding of heat transfer of the roaster settings.
