Daniel has worked at da Matteo for 8 year, starting as a hungry barista. Loves being infront of cupping tables, as he enjoys breaking down and analysing flavors, so that green coffee lot selections turn out as good as possible! He still stands behind the bar and serves coffee because it's fun to not only roast coffee but also to serve it and educate the customers! He’s passionate about crafting, regardless of what it is or how it’s created. Spends a lot of his free time baking.
Mateo Peros, Roaster and Barista at da Matteo
Mateo has been working at the company for 5 years. Mateo is a competing barista, who is steadily and constantly looking to improve and develop his skills. No challenge is too hard and he loves obsessing over everything within craftsmanship. Brewing with him is not only inspirational but also educational.

In March, we proudly won the Nordics' Best Roaster competition 2025, where 26 roasters competed by showcasing their skill and expertise in roasting. We were judged on both a mandatory and a self-sourced coffee - El Triunfo from Colombia. We’ll be serving this coffee during World of Coffee at the ROEST booth!
